Revitalizing a Successful and Recognized Brand
Owner and Head Muay Thai Instructor, Kru Darian Carrington, first came to me about a “refresh” of their branding for Athena Muay Thai Academy. We consulted about the aspects of their current brand that were holding them back from progressing towards their business goals, and we entertained options for breathing new life into a redesigned logo and brand image.
New Breed’s process for redesigning a brand that is strongly established within the community is different from designing a new company’s logo from a blank slate. There are many nuanced interests to consider, depending on your company’s demographic, how successful it is on paper and who your competition is.

Reimagining Athena’s Brand Presence Online
Following Athena Muay Thai Academy’s rebrand, New Breed was asked to redesign their former SquareSpace site into a custom WordPress site with all the added bells & whistles.
We wove their new brand’s look & feel into every element of the website design—from the angled breaks between sections to an overarching gold, white & black colour palette. We made good use of their existing photo library to breathe new life into a stunning and engaging web presence.
To help with new client retention, we hooked up Athena’s Free Trial Request form to a new MailChimp funnel, which automatically sends the prospect an email guiding them through the next steps towards stepping into the gym for the first time. This has proven to be a huge time-saver for staff, as well as prevents anyone interested in trying a free class from being overlooked or leaving the site without taking action.
